What was I thinking?
Starting a business in the middle of a pandemic!?!
Call me crazy, but the downtime that resulted from everything being closed gave me the push I needed to build a solid foundation for Joanie Zipperer Photography. I won't lie, it was a little overwhelming at times! A forty-something trying to navigate the world of social media is interesting to say the least. But, I did it and I'm so proud of what I've accomplished in such a short time!
A little about me...
Raised in a small town in rural Florida, I lived in one place almost my entire childhood. When my husband joined the Army at 18 years old and got stationed in Germany, life got very interesting! We were married the following year and started our adventure! We've been married almost 28 years now, raised four amazing children and moved 15 times. Starting over every few years isn't easy, but its made us strong and resilient. We love our life and our military family!
I love oak trees draped with Spanish moss, wooden docks over marshy coastal waters, the beach, pearls, flowers and traveling anywhere and everywhere!
I've always enjoyed photography and my husband bought me my first "nice" camera just before our last child was born. I signed up for a local photography class and that's when my journey began. That was twelve years ago! I've enjoyed photographing my kids over the years, their sporting events, special occasions, and all the wonderful destinations we've been blessed to visit!
Photography is my passion! I love meeting new clients who become friends and serving them to the best of my ability. There is no greater honor than capturing the special moments in their lives and knowing they will cherish those images for years to come.
As 2020 came to an end, I took the time to review all the images I captured throughout the year. Looking back at my favorites gave me so much joy and I wanted to share some of them here. If you were in front of my camera at some point this year, THANK YOU for your support! I couldn't grow as a photographer without each and every one of you pushing me to be better.
Now, as we enter 2021, I wish each of you good health, peace, and happiness! If I can serve you in any way, please reach out!
Here are a few of my favorites from 2020!
